Pay range: $19.23 - $24.03/hr DOE
**This position is located in Syracuse, NY.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for assembling and fabricating Cryocooler products, performing tests, documenting results, and reporting progress to management. This role may be performed independently or as part of a team and requires strict adherence to plant safety requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble, fabricate, and replace components as required
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance
Keep Supervisor/Manager informed of progress, challenges, and other relevant updates in a timely manner
Review production schedules, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine appropriate testing procedures and equipment
Ensure work orders reflect the latest revisions before beginning testing procedures
Perform assigned tests accurately and efficiently
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.
Job Competencies:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and training documents.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings/blueprints
Ability to use and understand precise measuring tools/devices.
Technical/mechanical abilities preferred.
Basic math knowledge (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and converting fractions and decimals) required.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, reach with arms and hands, and have hand and finger dexterity. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment. This position interacts mostly with internal customers in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner. Mandatory PPE must be worn as required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; heat; cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
