Facility Manager

We are looking for an experienced Facility Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the daily operations, maintenance, repairs, and construction projects of our production, R&D, and office facilities in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. Your tasks will include ensuring the smooth day-to-day functionality of our facilities while maintaining stakeholder satisfaction, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will manage maintenance schedules, construction projects, repairs, and inspections, as well as coordinate and supervise a large number of external service providers. You will also be responsible for developing and managing project budgets, cost forecasts, and procurement activities. In addition, you will ensure compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to energy efficiency, building automation, and workplace experience. Your role includes handling space planning, relocations, and layout changes together with relevant stakeholders, as well as maintaining facility documentation, service contracts, and compliance records.
We are looking for someone with solid, several years’ experience in facility management within a fast-changing and developing industrial environment. You have a strong understanding of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, access control, and building automation. Customer service and stakeholder management come naturally to you, and you communicate effectively while collaborating well with others. You excel at problem-solving and can manage multiple projects and service providers simultaneously. You are also comfortable working with facility management software, CAD tools, and MS Office applications, supported by a relevant educational background.
In addition to the above, you would stand out if you bring experience or qualities that support process development and innovation in facility operations. A proactive, hands-on approach combined with an interest in developing practices, improving efficiency, and enhancing the overall workplace experience will help you succeed in this role. Main responsibilities:
Ensure smooth daily operations, safety and compliance of our facilities
Manage maintenance, repairs, inspections and construction projects
Oversee and coordinate external service providers
Handle project budgets, cost forecasts and procurement
Drive improvements in energy efficiency, building automation and workplace experience
Manage space planning, relocations and layout changes
Maintain facility documentation, contracts and compliance records
What we expect from you
Relevant technical degree
Several years of facility management experience in an industrial environment
Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, access control, automation)
Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
Strong communicator with good teamwork and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and providers simultaneously
Proficiency in facility management software, CAD and MS Office
Native or Equivalent Finnish and Moderate English skills are required
