Pay range: $80-115k DOE (plus bonus)

Position Summary
The Account Manager drives revenue growth across assigned regions and customer segments for the Cryomech product line by identifying customer needs, presenting solutions, and closing sales. This role serves as the primary customer contact for proposals, collaborates cross-functionally to ensure successful execution, and maintains accurate pipeline and forecasting data in the CRM while identifying new market opportunities and trends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, target, and develop new customer opportunities within assigned territory or vertical markets
Engage technical and commercial stakeholders to qualify and advance new projects
Lead discovery discussions to validate application fit, budget, timeline, and purchasing process
Progress qualified opportunities through the sales cycle to booking
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline aligned with sales goals and typical sales cycles
Manage and grow relationships with existing customers and installed base accounts
Identify upselling, cross-selling, replacement, and expansion opportunities
Maintain regular engagement with key technical and procurement stakeholders
Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, service, and production teams to ensure proposals are executed on time and within margin targets
Develop and execute long-term account plans aligned with customer objectives
Proactively identify unmet customer needs through ongoing engagement (in-person, video, phone, and email) and document findings in the CRM
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records to support pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy
Conduct occasional business reviews in partnership with Bluefors sales leadership
Monitor industry developments, competitive activity, and emerging markets to provide actionable market intelligence
Participate in industry trade shows and company events as required, with travel as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of B2B capital equipment or engineered systems sales, with a proven record of managing and growing accounts and selling complex, technical solutions with long sales cycles. Preferred experience includes cryogenics, scientific equipment, or advanced hardware, as well as the ability to compare and differentiate customer usage of products versus competitors.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and have hand and finger dexterity. The employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. In an office setting, the employee may occasionally, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
This job operates in and out of a professional office environment. This position will have work that may be in an office or manufacturing setting. This position interacts with both internal and external customers in a professional, courteous manner, while keeping information confidential as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and copiers. While in the manufacturing environment, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; heat; cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. Mandatory PPE’s must be worn as required.
