Manufacturing Associate-BTA Assembler

We are looking for a Manufacturing Associate – Assembler to join our Base Tube Assembly (BTA) team at Bluefors in Syracuse, NY. In this role, you will support the assembly and quality of Cryomech Base Tube Assemblies, contributing to the production of precision cryogenic components used in cutting-edge technologies. Your tasks will include assembling Base Tube Assembly components in accordance with documented procedures and specifications to ensure consistency and quality. You will operate and maintain tooling and production equipment safely and effectively while ensuring all work meets established quality standards. You will complete and maintain accurate production and quality documentation and demonstrate a clear understanding of operational procedures while consistently meeting quality expectations. In addition, you will participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes and performance, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and adhere to ISO quality system requirements. You may also perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and production goals.
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or GED, along with 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to follow documented procedures and instructions. You should be comfortable working with tools and production equipment in a manufacturing environment and be able to maintain accuracy in both assembly work and documentation. Dependability, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential, along with clear communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.

Pay range: $19.23 – $24.03/hr. (DOE)
Main Responsibilities include the following:
Assemble BTA components in accordance with documented procedures and specifications
Operate and maintain tooling and production equipment safely and effectively
Ensure all work meets established quality standards and requirements
Complete and maintain accurate production and quality documentation
Participate in continuous improvement efforts
Demonstrate understanding of operational procedures and meet quality expectations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Adhere to documented procedures and ISO quality system requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned
What We Expect from You
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to follow documented procedures and work instructions

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, reach with arms and hands, and use hand and finger dexterity. The employee is occasionally required to walk, kneel, crouch, and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing environment and interacts primarily with internal customers in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as applicable. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, heat, cold, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
