Customer Service Representative-Sales

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team at Bluefors in Syracuse, NY. Your tasks will include providing timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries regarding order status and product information. You will process customer orders and changes in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve customer needs and provide timely feedback regarding any concerns. In addition, you will perform export compliance screenings in accordance with company policies and review purchase orders, contracts, and terms and conditions to ensure alignment and accuracy. You may also perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or GED and six months to one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An associate degree from a two-year college or technical school is preferred. You should demonstrate strong customer focus, excellent time management, and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Outlook. You should be comfortable with data entry and processing tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Dependability, adaptability, and a strong commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction are essential.

Pay range: $19.23 – $24.03/hr (DOE)

What We Expect from You
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Six months to one year of related experience in customer service or administrative role preferred
Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred
Strong customer/client focus with the ability to build and maintain relationships
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with basic data entry and processing skills

Physical Demands
This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments. The position requires regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, and copiers. While in the manufacturing environment, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, heat, cold, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderately loud, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as applicable.
